XVIII edicion de Limpieza de Fondos Marinos y Playas de la Bahia de Mazarron

The 18th Edition of cleaning of seabed and beaches of the Bay of Mazarrón is closed with half-ton less collected trash, with the participation of about a hundred people, as reported by municipal sources in a statement.

Then, the researcher of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO), July more, he gave a talk to participants in which explained them the importance of maintaining healthy biodiversity marina and what were the things that were collected in the bottom of the sea and what not.

After the talk, divers were launched in the depths of the Bay of Mazarrón to start collecting garbage in several shifts, coming from from the dock of the Marina to a total of 6 ships loaded with participants that cleaned areas from the island to La Azohia.

On the other hand, the tourist train of the municipality and the company of excursions ‘ 37 degrees ‘ led to the components of the fishing Club, Puerto de Mazarron and various boys and girls, who were accompanied by their mothers and any other brave grandmother, until the beach of Bolnuevo where they performed a clean it. As Councilman of coastal services and Civil protection, said Miguel María García, «next year we will work to make many more children that participate in the activity».

The Mayor, accompanied by the Councillor for environment, David Fernandez, handed diplomas to participants once they had tasted the delicious paella prepared by the company ‘Tyrol’.

XVIII edicion de Limpieza de Fondos Marinos y Playas de la Bahia de Mazarron

La XVIII edición de Limpieza de Fondos Marinos y Playas de la Bahía de Mazarrón se ha cerrado con media tonelada menos de basura recogida, con la participación de cerca de un centenar de personas.

De este modo, la jornada de este año ha sido organizada conjuntamente por el Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón y los centros de buceo Buceo Hispania, Centro de Buceo del Sureste ‘Bachisub’, el Centro Escuela de Buceo ‘Amigos del Azul’ y ‘Rivemar’.

También han participado el Club de Pesca de Puerto de Mazarrón, que ayudó en la limpieza de la playa de Bolnuevo, y la empresa Construcciones ‘Francisco Coy’, que donó los refrescos que se compartieron en la comida organizada por la concejalía de Medio Ambiente. Cruz Roja Mazarrón y sus voluntarios controlaron en todo momento que la cita se desarrollara correctamente.

En total se recogieron unos 500 kilos de desechos del fondo del mar y de la playa de Bolnuevo en una jornada en la que, en defensa del Medio Ambiente, los participantes pudieron disfrutar además de un día de convivencia.

La cita comenzó con la apertura del evento a cargo del alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, quien agradeció a los presentes «vuestra participación desinteresada en esta actividad que seguiremos apoyando y potenciando, ya que se trata de la limpieza de fondos pionera de España. Espero que el año que viene seamos muchos más».

A continuación, el investigador del Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO), Julio Mas, ofreció una charla a los participantes en la que les explicó la importancia de mantener sana la biodiversidad marina y cuáles eran las cosas que debían recogerse del fondo del mar y cuáles no.

Una vez finalizada la charla, los buceadores se lanzaron a las profundidades de la Bahía de Mazarrón para iniciar la recogida de basura en varios turnos, llegando a partir desde la dársena del Puerto Deportivo hasta un total de 6 barcos cargados de participantes que limpiaron diversas zonas desde La Isla hasta La Azohía.

Por otro lado, el Tren Turístico del municipio y la empresa de excursiones ’37 Grados’ llevaron a los componentes del Club de Pesca de Puerto de Mazarrón y diversos niños y niñas, que iban acompañados de sus madres y alguna que otra valiente abuela, hasta la playa de Bolnuevo donde realizaron una limpieza de la misma. Tal y como comentó el concejal de Servicios del Litoral y Protección Civil, Miguel María García, «el próximo año trabajaremos para que sean muchos más niños y niñas los que participen en la actividad».

El edil, acompañado del concejal de Medio Ambiente, David Fernández, entregaron los diplomas a los participantes una vez que habían degustado la deliciosa paella confeccionado por la empresa ‘El Tirol’.

Y es que, esta comida sirvió de acto de convivencia y unión entre los buceadores y los distintos centros de buceo que, además, son parte activa de una nueva asociación turística creada recientemente y que pronto se presentará ante los medios en el Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón, quien viene promoviendo el asociacionismo para construir un futuro próspero para el municipio.
