RECONOCIMIENTOS DEPORTIVOS MAZARRON

El Alcalde, Ginés Campillo, alabó sus esfuerzos y entregó un obsequio a los jóvenes en nombre del Ayuntamiento

El Salón de Plenos de las Casas Consistoriales de Mazarrón acogió el pasado viernes un reconocimiento a diversos jóvenes deportistas del municipio. En esta ocasión, los homenajeados han sido los atetas Natalia Aznar, Pablo Méndez e Ismael Belhaki y el jugador de tenis de mesa Miguel Ortiz. El acto fue presidido por el Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, y contó con la presencia de los concejales María Celeste Soria, Magdalena Méndez y Andrés Valera; así como los entrenadores, familiares y amigos de los homenajeados.

El edil de Deportes, Andrés Valera, detalló los logros de cada uno de los deportistas antes de que el Alcalde les hiciese entrega de un obsequio en representación del Ayuntamiento. En este sentido, destacar que Natalia Aznar ha sido campeona de España en 50 metros lisos, salto de longitud y 500 metros lisos en el Campeonato de España de Atletismo para Ciegos y Deficientes Visuales celebrado en marzo de 2013. En dicho campeonato, Pablo Méndez consiguió una medalla de oro, una de plata y otra de bronce en 60 metros lisos, salto de longitud y 1000 metros lisos, respectivamente. Estas medallas se suman a otras 6 de oro que el atleta consiguió en los campeonatos de 2012 y 2011 para Ciegos y Deficientes Visuales en varias modalidades atléticas.

Ambos pertenecen al Club Atletismo Mazarrón junto a Ismael Belhaki, uno de los mejores deportistas de la Región y de los que más éxitos ha cosechado a nivel nacional. Entre los logros de Belhaki se cuenta haber sido campeón cadete de España dentro de la Copa de España Cadete de Clubes en Pista Cubierta que se celebró el pasado mes de febrero en Zaragoza. Un mes después, el atleta consiguió la marca mínima para participar en el Campeonato de España Cadete de Atletismo de Pista Cubierta en 60 y 300 metros lisos, consiguiendo el 5º puesto en 60 m.l. y quedando segundo en 300 m.l. (siendo posteriormente descalificado posteriormente, según el juez árbitro por pisar la raya en el tercer o cuarto apoyo después de la salida).

Finalmente, Miguel Ortiz también ha sido campeón de España en tenis de mesa. Este jugador del Club Deportivo Mazarrón Tenis de Mesa jugó cedido con El Palmar UCAM, consiguiendo la medalla de oro en el Campeonato de España por Equipos junto a Javier Soria y Javier Valero en categoría alevín. Otra medalla de oro conseguida por este atleta alevín fue en los pasados Juegos Deportivos del Guadalentín donde se dan cita los mejores palistas de Andalucía, Murcia y Valencia. También consiguió la medalla de bronce en 2012 en el Campeonato de España por equipos cedido en el conjunto I.E.S. “El Palmar”.

El Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, destacó que “volvemos a realizar un reconocimiento a varios deportistas de Mazarrón que, con gran esfuerzo y sacrificio, han conseguido importantes logros a nivel nacional, llevando a lo más alto el nombre de Mazarrón. Todos ellos deben ser un ejemplo para nosotros, ya que son una muestra de que el trabajo constante es sinónimo de éxito. Dicho reconocimiento también va dirigido a los clubes y a los familiares, quienes suponen una parte fundamental de estos éxitos”. El primer edil añadió que “seguiremos fomentando, como venimos haciendo, la práctica deportiva en el municipio. Siendo los jóvenes uno de los sectores donde más continuaremos volcándonos para que inviertan su tiempo libre y de ocio en prácticas que promueven un estilo de vida sano y saludable”.RECONOCIMIENTOS DEPORTIVOS MAZARRON

The ceremony was presided over by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and counted with the presence of María Celeste Soria, Magdalena Mendez and Andrés Valera Councillors; as well as the coaches, relatives and friends of the honorees.

 

The Councillor for sports, Andrés Valera, detailed the achievements of each of the athletes until the Mayor made them delivery of a gift on behalf of the City Council. In this regard, noted that Natalia Aznar has been champion of Spain in 50 meter dash, jump length and 500 metres flat in Spain of Championships for blind and visually impaired held in March 2013. In this Championship, Pablo Méndez got a gold medal, one silver and one bronze in the 60 meter dash, jump length and 1000 meters, respectively. These medals are added to other 6 gold which the athlete got in 2011 and 2012 Championships for blind and visually impaired in various athletic types.

 

Both belong to the Club Athletics Mazarrón along with Ismael Belhaki, one of the best athletes in the Region and that more success has garnered nationwide. Belhaki achievements include being champion Cadet of Spain within Spain Cadet’s Club Cup indoor that was held last February in Zaragoza. A month later, the athlete got the minimum mark for of Spain Cadet Championships of track covered in 60 and 300 meters, getting 5th place in 60 m.l. and being second in 300 m.l. (being then disqualified later, according to the referee judge by stepping on the line in the third or fourth support after the departure).

 

Finally, Miguel Ortiz has also been champion of Spain in table tennis. This the Club Deportivo Mazarrón table tennis player played assigned with El Palmar UCAM, getting the gold medal in the Championship of Spain team alongside Javier Soria y Javier Valero in category alevin. Another gold medal achieved by this FRY athlete was in the last games sports the Guadalentín which brings together the best paddlers in Andalusia, Murcia and Valencia. Also got the bronze medal in the Championship of Spain by teams assigned throughout the I.E.S. «El Palmar» in 2012.

 

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that «we again make a recognition to several athletes of Mazarrón, with great effort and sacrifice, have achieved significant achievements at the national level, leading to higher than the name of Mazarrón. All of them must be an example for us, since they are a sign that the constant work is synonymous with success. This recognition also goes to clubs and family members, who represent a key part of these successes». The Mayor added that «we will continue to encourage, as we have been doing, sports in the municipality.» Being young people one of the sectors where we will continue more dumping us invest their free time and leisure in practices that promote a healthy lifestyle».
