The City Council of Mazarrón educates its custodians of sports in the use of defibrillatorsEl Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón forma a sus conserjes de deportes en el uso de desfibriladores

The City Council will install these devices in various municipal sports facilities
The Councillor for sports, Andrés Valera, delivered yesterday to 6 janitors of municipal sports facilities a diploma which certified that they had successfully the course of «External semi-automatic defibrillation» which had been given by the Spanish Red Cross. The aim of this course is that «the custodians of the sports area know to use these devices in order to be able to respond to any eventuality or health emergencies that may occur in our sports facilities», said the Mayor.
The course has been developed for two days at the «La Aceña» Sports Pavilion and had 12 hours, 6 of them theoretical and other 6 practices. After the formation of their custodians, the next step that will give the Mazarrón City Hall is «install semi-automatic external defibrillators (DESA) in the different sports facilities», as commented by Andrés Valera. Councilman of sports has explained that «it is a demand being made by the federations and sports clubs nationwide and to which we want to answer».
The Mayor has said that «now these devices are very simple to use and can save lives if you have them in sports centres, rapid intervention can be crucial to a cardiac arrest». In fact, the use of these devices in a cardiac arrest situation exponentially raises the life expectancy of the person that it has been provided that the use of the same will occur in the first three minutes after stopping.
The custodians who have obtained certification are Antonio Garcia, Ramon Agea, Javier García, Ginés Navarro, Andrés Dávila and Fernando Méndez. It is expected that the rest of custodians who depend on the Sports Department also undertaking this course over the coming weeks. In this way, the session will be prepared to meet any emergency quickly once cited semi-automatic external defibrillators is available in sports centres.

El Ayuntamiento instalará estos aparatos en las diversas instalaciones deportivas municipales

El concejal de Deportes, Andrés Valera, entregó ayer a 6 conserjes de las instalaciones deportivas municipales un diploma en el que se certificaba que habían superado con éxito el curso de “Desfibrilación semiautomática externa” que les había sido impartido por Cruz Roja Española. El objetivo de este curso es que “los conserjes del área de Deportes sepan usar estos aparatos con el fin de poder actuar ante cualquier eventualidad o emergencia sanitaria que pueda acaecer en nuestras instalaciones deportivas”, ha declarado el edil.

El curso se ha desarrollado durante dos días en el pabellón de deportes “La Aceña” y ha contado con 12 horas lectivas, 6 de ellas teóricas y otras 6 prácticas. Tras la formación de sus conserjes, el siguiente paso que dará el Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón será “instalar desfibriladores externos semiautomáticos (DESA) en las diferentes instalaciones deportivas”, tal y como ha comentado Andrés Valera. El concejal de Deportes ha explicado que “es una demanda que vienen realizando las federaciones y clubes deportivos a nivel nacional y a la que queremos dar respuesta”.

El edil ha comentado también que “ahora estos aparatos son muy sencillos de usar y pueden salvar muchas vidas si se dispone de ellos en los centros deportivos, ya que una intervención rápida puede ser decisiva ante una parada cardiaca”. De hecho, el uso de estos aparatos ante una situación de parada cardiorrespiratoria eleva exponencialmente la esperanza de vida de la persona que la ha sufrido siempre que la utilización del mismo se produzca en los tres primeros minutos tras la parada.

Los conserjes que han obtenido la certificación son Antonio García, Ramón Agea, Javier García, Ginés Navarro, Andrés Dávila y Fernando Méndez. Está previsto que el resto de conserjes que dependen de la concejalía de Deportes también realicen este curso durante las próximas semanas. De este modo, el consistorio estará preparado para atender cualquier emergencia de manera rápida una vez que se disponga en los centros deportivos los citados desfibriladores externos semiautomáticos.
