The new Volkswagen Golf VII already has a face. The German manufacturer has just shown the first pictures of the seventh generation of the Golf, a compact which, as has been the case throughout its history, eventually becoming a bestseller. Welcome Golf VII!
The new Volkswagen Golf VII comes ready to make war. Since its inception in 1974, which is already one of the most important models in history has sold more than 29 million units. For this figure, the signing of Wolfsburg has created a lighter, spacious and comfortable car that adopts a fresher design, all with one goal: planting face, without any hesitation, to compact vehicles that have just arrived to the market (class A 2012 Mercedes and Audi A3 2012) among others.
As you can see in the first images of the 7 golf courses, the new compact has a new look that give profile chrome Grill and headlights, which are now slightly arched upwards. In addition, his face features horizontal elements that pay homage to the first generation of the famous bestseller. Pilots are also new invoice; they are equipped with a contour light ‘L’ shaped, they are parallel to the C on the outside pillars and narrow on the inside. The characteristic pillar, integrated mirrors and side edges (c) give a more muscular and sporty appearance.
Meanwhile, the interior of the new Volkswagen Golf VII presents a more ergonomic and intuitive design. Stands out above all the wide center console, directed towards the driver, and the large touch screen Infotainment, which can be 5, 5.8 or 8 inches – the last two, with proximity sensor. Up to 100 kg less as I’ve mentioned before, the Golf MKVII is lighter, and is that Volkswagen has managed to reduce the final weight up to 100 kg. The electrical system, chassis, equipment, dashboard, air conditioning and seats have undergone a strict diet. But without a doubt, the major work for better results on the scale has been in the structure of the Golf VII. The German manufacturer has opted for the platform Modular transverse (MQB), in steels of high rigidity, remaining 23 kg. This structure allows the Golf have a 55 mm greater length. In addition, did move the wheels of the front axle 43 mm forward, with passengers in the rear seats and the boot win space; the latter boasts now 380 liters. By the way, loading sill has been lowered 665 mm.
In the beginning, the range of engines for the new Volkswagen Golf VII consists of two TSI 85 and 140 HP, which offer a consumption of 4.9 and 4.8 l / 100 km, respectively – the most powerful equips the active cylinder management system-, and two TDI 105 and 150 HP with an average of 3.8 and 4.1 litres. El nuevo Volkswagen Golf VII ya tiene cara. El fabricante germano acaba de mostrar las primeras imágenes de la séptima generación del Golf, un compacto que, tal y como ha ocurrido a lo largo de toda su historia, acabará convirtiéndose en un superventas. ¡Bienvenido Golf VII!
El nuevo Volkswagen Golf VII llega dispuesto a dar guerra. Desde su aparición en 1974, el que ya es uno de los modelos más importantes de la Historia ha vendido más de 29 millones de unidades. Para engrosar esta cifra, la firma de Wolfsburgo ha creado un coche más ligero, espacioso y cómodo que adopta un diseño más fresco, todo ello con un objetivo: plantarle cara, sin ningún tipo de titubeo, a los vehículos compactos que acaban de llegar al mercado (Mercedes Clase A 2012 y Audi A3 2012, entre otros).
Como puedes ver en las primeras imágenes del Golf 7, el nuevo compacto tiene una nueva mirada que le confieren el perfil cromado de la parrilla y los faros, que ahora están ligeramente arqueados hacia arriba. Además, su rostro incorpora elementos horizontales que rinden homenaje a la primera generación del famoso bestseller. Asimismo, los pilotos son de nueva factura; están equipados con un contorno luminoso en forma de ‘L’, son más estrechos en su parte interior y paralelos a los pilares C en el exterior. Las aristas laterales, los retrovisores exteriores integrados y el característico pilar C le confieren un aspecto más musculoso y deportivo.
Por su parte, el interior del nuevo Volkswagen Golf VII presenta un diseño más ergonómico e intuitivo. Destaca sobre todo la ancha consola central, orientada hacia el conductor, y la amplia pantalla táctil de infoentretenimiento, que puede ser de 5, 5,8 o 8 pulgadas -las dos últimas, con sensor de proximidad-. Hasta 100 kg menos Como te he mencionado antes, el Golf MKVII es más liviano, y es que Volkswagen ha conseguido reducir hasta 100 kilos el peso final. El sistema eléctrico, chasis, equipamiento, tablero de instrumentos, climatizador y asientos han sufrido una estricta dieta de adelgazamiento. Pero sin lugar a dudas, el mayor trabajo para obtener un mejor resultado en la báscula se ha realizado en la estructura del Golf VII. El fabricante alemán ha apostado por la Plataforma Modular Transversal (MQB), realizada en aceros de gran rigidez que restan 23 kg. Esta estructura permite al Golf tener una longitud 55 mm mayor. Además, se ha conseguido desplazar las ruedas del eje anterior 43 mm hacia adelante, con lo que los pasajeros de las plazas traseras y el maletero ganan espacio; el último presume ahora de 380 litros. Por cierto, el borde de carga se ha rebajado 665 mm.
En un principio, la gama de motores del nuevo Volkswagen Golf VII estará compuesta por dos TSI de 85 y 140 CV, que ofrecen un consumo de 4,9 y 4,8 l/100 km, respectivamente -el más potente equipa el Sistema de Gestión de Cilindros Activa-, y dos TDI de 105 y 150 CV, con una media de 3,8 y 4,1 litros. El nuevo Golf equipa, además, la última tecnología propia de segmentos superiores: freno de emergencia anticolisiones múltiples (de serie), sistema de protección proactiva, control de velocidad de crucero adaptativo con Front Assist y asistente de frenada de emergencia automática en ciudad.
Todavía no hay precios del Golf VII para el mercado español. Lo que sí se sabe es que en Alemania la versión base partirá de 16.975 euros.
