More than 700 contacts with amateur radio from the monuments of MazarrónMás de 700 contactos con radioaficionados desde los monumentos de Mazarrón

The next appointment will activate the windlass from the Catholic monarchs and the castle of the Calentin

 

This past weekend the Mazarrón Club Radio and the Cultural Association of amateur radio «Costa Blanca» of Alicante carried out more than 700 contacts with radio amateurs of all Spain and part of Europe with the activation of the castle of Los Vélez and the Tower of horses within the international competition of amateur radio «Castle of Spain». An activity which has counted with the support of the City Council of Mazarrón through the departments of heritage and tourism.

 

Precisely the initiative was the visit during the day on Saturday in the castle of Los Vélez of the Mayor of historic heritage, María Martínez, who became interested in how radio transmissions were made. Also was a connection with the radio station «Radio Costa Cálida» the Sunday which was held from the Tower of horses and served to inform the development of this activity live.

 

It occurred during a great activity on the frequency and many were castles that were triggered during the two days in the said contest. In fact, the components of the Radio Club Mazarrón contacted friends who did time with those who did not speak. Soon the initiative again performed in the municipality with the activation of the twirl of the Catholic monarchs and the castle of the Calentin, found in the official list of this contest.

La próxima cita activará el Molinete de los Reyes Católicos y el Castillo del Calentín

Este pasado fin de semana el Radio Club Mazarrón y la Asociación Cultural de Radioaficionados “Costa Blanca” de Alicante realizaron más de 700 contactos con radioaficionados de toda España y parte de Europa con la activación del Castillo de Los Vélez y La Torre de los Caballos dentro del Concurso Internacional de Radioaficionados “Castillos de España”. Una actividad que ha contado con el apoyo del Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón a través de las concejalías de Patrimonio Histórico y Turismo.

Precisamente la iniciativa contó con la visita durante la jornada del sábado en el Castillo de Los Vélez de la edil de Patrimonio Histórico, María Martínez, que se interesó por cómo se realizaban las trasmisiones de radio. También se realizó una conexión con la emisora “Radio Costa Cálida” en la jornada del domingo que se celebró desde la Torre de Los Caballos y que sirvió para dar a conocer en directo el desarrollo de esta actividad.

Durante la misma se produjo una gran actividad en la frecuencia y fueron muchos los castillos que se activaron durante los dos días dentro del citado concurso. De hecho, los componentes del Radio Club Mazarrón contactaron con amigos que hacía tiempo con los que no hablaban. Próximamente la iniciativa volverá a realizarse en el municipio con la activación del Molinete de los Reyes Católicos y el Castillo del Calentín, que se encuentran dentro del listado oficial de este concurso.
