Pedro Costa Morata advocated reviewing the current economic model against the green economy

Some days that have passed more than one hundred participants, as well as prominent figures and researchers related to this matter that have offered interesting points of view on the most diverse topics. Among these points of view was of the national environment award, Pedro Costa Morata, which advocated reviewing the current capitalist economic model which, since its running under the liberal doctrine, has led to a separation of the links between people and the environment. Costa Morata stated that «now is a good time to analyze the model capitalist and its precepts, already they do not they combine with the environment». In this sense, Costa Morata opted for the ecological economy versus the current model of development.

Days counted with the presence of the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was in charge of opening them next to the director-general of environment, Amador Lopez, with its closure. The Coordinator of this encounter has been the Council of environment of the City Council of Mazarrón, David Fernandez, who has been very happy with «the satisfactory development of these days that we can qualify as exciting, since there are many ideas about which they have worked and that they will continue to work the next year».

The rapporteurs have been, in turn, «very pleased with the launch of this forum called to become the meeting point for the defence of the environment at the regional level» and that the Mayor has wanted to acknowledge his presence. The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, pointed out that «this event has become a good starting point for addressing issues that are of vital interest to citizens». In this sense, the Mayor explained that «we have many aspects that we must confront as our General Plan or environmental problems that affect us.» «From now on we will be much better prepared to deal with them through this initiative which we have learned enormously».
