Pablo Méndez athlete receives a recognition by the eleven
This past weekend the high performance «Infanta Cristina» of Los Narejos Centre hosted the Regional Taekwondo Championship in Cadet category in which the Mazarrón Taekwondo Club returned to reap excellent results. Specifically, three gold medals were which were hung the members of the mazarronero club. Rubén García was the modality of 45 kg champion featherweight, Antonio Méndez did the same in 65 kg heavyweight and Marina Moreno also climbed to the top of the women’s podium in mode 55 kg average weight.
Both Rubén García and Antonio Méndez revalidaban with his wins gold for the third consecutive year and, in addition, both will be stop of the murcian regional team that will compete in the Taekwondo Spain Championships to be held in the town of Gandia (Valencia) and that will take place next on 27 and 28 October.
Also, another athlete has received this last Friday in Murcia recognition for his brilliant season. Pablo Méndez, Member of the Mazarron Athletics Club, was awarded in the «11th GALA of the sport ONCE» in recognition of his achievements in the winter Championship of Spain of disputed Athletics by categories for blind and visually impaired in San Javier (Murcia) on 18 and 19 February. During the tournament, and the category benjamin Mendez champion in tests of long, 800 metres and 60 metres smooth. The Gala was held at the Hall of acts of the Territorial delegation of the ONCE in Murcia.
El atleta Pablo Méndez recibe un reconocimiento por parte de la ONCE
Este pasado fin de semana el Centro de Alto Rendimiento “Infanta Cristina” de Los Narejos acogió el Campeonato Regional de Taekwondo en categoría Cadete en el que el Club Taekwondo Mazarrón volvió a cosechar unos excelentes resultados. Concretamente, tres medallas de oro fueron las que se colgaron los integrantes de este club mazarronero. Rubén García quedó campeón de la modalidad de 45 kg peso pluma, Antonio Méndez hizo lo propio en 65kg peso pesado y Marina Moreno también subió a lo más alto del pódium femenino en modalidad 55kg peso medio.
Tanto Rubén García como Antonio Méndez revalidaban con sus victorias el oro por tercer año consecutivo y, además, ambos formarán pare de la selección regional murciana que competirá en el Campeonato de España de Taekwondo que se celebrará en la localidad de Gandia (Valencia) y que tendrá lugar los próximos días 27 y 28 de octubre.
Asimismo, otro atleta ha recibido este pasado viernes en Murcia un reconocimiento por su brillante temporada. Pablo Méndez, miembro del Club Atletismo Mazarrón, fue premiado en la “XI GALA DEL DEPORTE ONCE” en reconocimiento a sus logros en el Campeonato de España de Invierno de Atletismo por categorías para ciegos y deficientes visuales disputado en San Javier (Murcia) los días 18 y 19 de febrero. Durante el torneo y dentro de la categoría benjamín, Méndez se proclamó campeón en las pruebas de Salto de Longitud, 800 Metros Lisos y 60 Metros Lisos. La Gala se celebró en el salón de Actos de la Delegación Territorial de la ONCE en Murcia.
