This year the contest has had also a solidarity perspective with the Theodora Foundation

 

Last Wednesday the Hall of plenary sittings of the Consistorial houses hosted the awards ceremony of the international contest of children’s drawing of «Aqualia» which this year has been 10 years. Two have been awarded in this edition girls. These have been Cristina Fernández Molina of C.E.I.P. «Francisco Caparrós» of Mazarrón and Ziortza Pedraza Fernández «Bay» of port school. The prizes, consisting of an interactive world map, were delivered by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Miguel Angel Jimenez, «Aqualia» delegate in Murcia, and Agapito Pérez, head of the service of the supplier of water in Mazarron.

 

The contest of this year has been convened under the slogan «An outstanding for Ti, an outstanding for the planet» and has had a double objective. Continue on the one hand, spreading among young people the value of water and the importance of consuming it responsibly and, on the other hand, bring smiles to hospitalised children within the Foundation Theodora charity program called «Smiles of emergency».

 

The contest have been able to attend children who are pursuing 3rd and 4th year of elementary school in the municipalities where serving in Spain, Italy and Portugal. On this occasion, children have not only chosen for the award, but they have also collaborated through their drawings with a joint cause. The equivalent in euros of 10% of the total number of received drawings will be delivered to the Theodora Foundation, which works with the aim that hospitalized children do not forget to smile thanks to the visit of the «doctors smile».

 

During the ceremony, «Aqualia» gave in addition a copy of the drawings awarded to two schools which belong to girls, represented by the tutors of the two students; the City Council of Mazarrón and also to the two winners. The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, congratulated the winning two and stressed «the importance of this event which teach our sons and daughters to understand the value of a precious as water resource».

Este año el concurso ha tenido además una perspectiva solidaria con la Fundación Theodora

El pasado miércoles el Salón de Plenos de las Casas Consistoriales acogió la entrega de premios del Concurso Internacional de Dibujo Infantil de “Aqualia” que este año ha cumplido 10 años. Dos han sido las niñas premiadas en esta edición. Éstas han sido Cristina Fernández Molina del C.E.I.P. “Francisco Caparrós” de Mazarrón y Ziortza Pedraza Fernández del colegio “Bahía” de Puerto. Los premios, consistentes en un mapamundi interactivo, fueron entregados por el Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, delegado de “Aqualia” en Murcia, y Agapito Pérez, jefe del Servicio de la empresa suministradora de agua en Mazarrón.

El Certamen de este año se ha convocado bajo el lema «Un Sobresaliente para Ti, Un sobresaliente para el planeta» y ha tenido un doble objetivo. Por un lado, seguir difundiendo entre los más jóvenes el valor del agua y la importancia de consumirla de forma responsable y, por otro, llevar sonrisas a niños hospitalizados dentro del programa solidario de Fundación Theodora denominado «Sonrisas de emergencia».

Al certamen han podido concurrir los niños y niñas que estén cursando 3º y 4º de Primaria en los municipios donde presta servicio en España, Italia y Portugal. En esta ocasión, los niños no sólo han optado al premio, sino que además han colaborado a través de sus dibujos con una causa solidaria. El equivalente en euros del 10% del total de dibujos recibidos será entregado a la Fundación Theodora, que trabaja con el objetivo de que los niños hospitalizados no se olviden de sonreír gracias a la visita de los «Doctores Sonrisa».

Durante el acto, “Aqualia” entregó además una copia de los dibujos premiados a los dos centros escolares a los que pertenecen las niñas, representados por las tutoras de las dos alumnas; al Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón y también a las dos ganadoras. El Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, felicitó a las dos premiadas y destacó “la importancia de este certamen que enseña a nuestros hijos e hijas a entender el valor de un recurso tan preciado como el agua”.
