The Atlético orihuela veteran wins the first international tournament of soccer veteransEl Atlético orihuela veteranos gana el I Torneo Internacional de Fútbol Veteranos

In it participated 6 teams of which 3 came from foreign lands. Specifically, 2 from the province of Limburg in Belgium and 1 from the County of Essex in England.

 

The champion of the tournament was Atlético Orihuela veterans who prevailed in a thrilling end to the third old Murciano of sewer by 1 goal to 0. The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, accompanied by the Councillor for sports, Andrés Valera, and the Coordinator of the sports meeting, Enrique V. Gómez, were responsible for delivering trophies to the first three classified among which was, in third place, CD Bala Azul veterans, who won the match for the third and fourth put the English team of the Zeus Football Club. The Belgian teams closed the classification leaving the Krom & Stifj Millen Veteranem in fifth place and the Football Club Megawatt in sixth position.

 

The sporting event was developed in the middle of a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere since participants, about 90 players, attended the municipality not only to participate in the tournament but also to spend a few days of fun and coexistence. Something that was already noted at the reception made to players in the Hall of plenary of the town hall where welcomed them Gines Campillo, Andrés Valera and the Councillor for sports of the Town Hall of sewer, Luciano Herrero, who said that «Mazarrón can be proud of having organized for the first time a championship of its kind».

 

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has been very satisfied with the development of the tournament. «It has been a very enriching and rewarding experience that we will repeat next year, if possible, with the presence of more computers». For the first Councilman experience has been double that, along with Councilman Isidro Coy, participated athletically in representation of Mazarron playing in the ranks of the «blue bullet» during several meetings. In addition, Gines Campillo has recalled that «players have donated a number of toys that we single with among the sick children in the hospital classroom at the hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca.» «So in addition to a sports and tourist perspective, we also cover a joint perspective».

Este pasado fin de semana se celebró con gran éxito en el Complejo Deportivo “Media Legua” el I Torneo Internacional de Fútbol Veteranos que se ha realizado por primera vez con motivo de la conmemoración del 440 Aniversario de la concesión del Privilegio de Villa. En él han participado 6 equipos de los que 3 llegaron de tierras extranjeras. Concretamente, 2 desde la provincia de Limburgo en Bélgica y 1 desde el condado de Essex en Inglaterra.

El campeón del torneo ha sido el Atlético Orihuela Veteranos que se impuso en una emocionante final al Tercio Viejo Murciano de Alcantarilla por 1 gol a 0. El Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, acompañado del concejal de Deportes, Andrés Valera, y el coordinador del encuentro deportivo, Enrique V. Gómez, fueron los encargados de entregar los trofeos a los tres primeros clasificados entre los que se encontraba, en tercer lugar, el C.D Bala Azul Veteranos, que ganó en el partido por el tercer y cuarto puesto al equipo inglés del Zeus Fútbol Club. Los equipos belgas cerraron la clasificación quedando el Krom & Stifj Millen Veteranem en quinto puesto y el Fútbol Club Megawatt en sexta posición.

La cita deportiva se desarrollo en mitad de un ambiente distendido y alegre ya que los participantes, unos 90 jugadores aproximadamente, acudieron al municipio no sólo a participar en el torneo sino también a pasar unos días de diversión y convivencia. Algo que ya se notó en la recepción realizada a los jugadores en el Salón de Plenos de las Casas Consistoriales donde les dieron la bienvenida Ginés Campillo, Andrés Valera y el concejal de Deportes del Ayuntamiento de Alcantarilla, Luciano Herrero, quien dijo que “Mazarrón puede sentirse orgulloso de haber organizado por primera vez un campeonato de estas características”.

El Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, se ha mostrado muy satisfecho con el desarrollo del torneo. “Ha sido una experiencia gratificante y muy enriquecedora que repetiremos el próximo año, a ser posible, con la presencia de más equipos”. Para el primer edil la experiencia ha sido doble ya que, junto al concejal Isidro Coy, participaron deportivamente en representación de Mazarrón jugando en las filas del “Bala Azul” durante varios de los encuentros. Además, Ginés Campillo ha recordado que “los jugadores han donado una serie de juguetes que repartiremos entre los niños enfermos del Aula Hospitalaria del hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca. Por lo que además de una perspectiva deportiva y turística, también cubrimos una perspectiva solidaria”.
