Three bikers returning from Madrid arrived successfully in Camposol where they were waiting for family and friends
Yesterday arrived in Camposol three cyclists, motivated by a solidarity initiative, toured the journey that unites the mazarronera urbanization with Madrid and from where they also returned on their bikes to raise funds for the Association of foreign residents ‘ Protection and Life Saving «(PALS). Courageous athletes, called Shaun, Jonhaton and Steve, were received by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the Councillor for attention to foreign residents, José Gómez, the Pedaneo Mayor of the Saladillo, Raquel Cornelia Ensor, and a large number of relatives and friends who did not want to lose their successful arrival.
The three cyclists had the support of other two compatriots, Lol, and Mark, who provided the support vehicle during the tour that took them through some villages like Agramón, Munera or Coral Algamur during their journey. All of them received a trophy from the hands of the Mayor in memory by his feat at the end of this initiative has been organised by the bar «TJ’s» of Camposol, who has donated the benefits collected with this activity, and others carried out during the summer, to PALS.
During the day of party, held in the parking lot of the shopping area of Sector B of the aforementioned development, carried out a solidarity raffle in which the prize star was a donated by the company «Compusurf» mountain bike. Neither missed the humor, as well as the typical English humour, with a performance by a very special Tina Turner who played his well-known song in playback, «Simply the best». The components of PALS put the gastronomic counterpoint with typical meals of the Anglo-Saxon culture that raised some benefits.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, commented that «our neighbors foreign residents in Camposol us have returned to give a lesson in solidarity with the start up of this original initiative of which we should take example». The Mayor also thanked PALS its work «in the improvement of health services in the municipality to which years are helping economically». The Mayor shared a pleasant morning with those present. Many commended the Council for the speed with which the Government team has acted before the difficulties caused by the rains of last Friday.
Los tres ciclistas que regresaban desde Madrid llegaron con éxito a Camposol donde les esperaban familiares y amigos
Ayer llegaron a Camposol los tres ciclistas que, motivados por una iniciativa solidaria, recorrieron el trayecto que une la urbanización mazarronera con Madrid y desde donde regresaron también sobre sus bicicletas para recaudar fondos para la asociación de residentes extranjeros “Protection and Life Saving” (PALS). Los valientes deportistas, llamados Shaun, Jonhaton y Steve, fueron recibidos por el Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, el concejal de Atención a los Residentes Extranjeros, José Gómez, la alcaldesa Pedáneo del Saladillo, Raquel Cornelia Ensor, y un gran número de familiares y amigos que no quisieron perderse su exitosa llegada.
Los tres ciclistas tuvieron durante su recorrido el apoyo de otros dos compatriotas, Lol y Mark, que proporcionaron el vehículo de apoyo durante el recorrido que les llevó a pasar por algunos pueblos como Agramón, Munera o Coral de Algamur. Todos ellos recibieron de manos del Alcalde un trofeo en recuerdo por su hazaña al finalizar esta iniciativa que ha sido organizada por el bar “TJ`s” de Camposol, que ha donado los beneficios recaudados con esta actividad, y otras llevadas a cabo durante el verano, a PALS.
Durante la jornada de fiesta, celebrada en el parking de la zona comercial del Sector B de la citada urbanización, se realizó una rifa solidaria en la que el premio estrella era una bicicleta de montaña donada por la empresa “Compusurf”. Tampoco faltó el humor, además del típico humor inglés, con la actuación de una Tina Turner muy especial que interpretó, en playback, su conocido tema “Simply the best”. Los componentes de PALS pusieron el contrapunto gastronómico con comidas típicas de la cultura anglosajona con las que recaudaron algunos beneficios.
El Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, comentó que “nuestros vecinos residentes extranjeros en Camposol nos han vuelto a dar una lección de solidaridad con la puesta en marcha de esta original iniciativa de la que debemos tomar ejemplo”. El primer edil agradeció además a PALS su labor “en la mejora de los servicios sanitarios en el municipio a los que desde hace años vienen ayudando económicamente”. El Alcalde compartió una agradable mañana con los presentes. Muchos felicitaron al Ayuntamiento por la celeridad con la que el Equipo de Gobierno ha actuado ante las dificultades provocadas por las lluvias del pasado viernes.
