La Cofradía de San Juan estrenó un nuevo y bello estandarte en color blanco y bordado en oro

Un gran número de vecinos y turistas, incluso más de los que se dieron cita el pasado año, presenciaron anoche la procesión de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, arropando a los cofrades y a los pasos que la componían y que partieron a las 9 y media de la noche desde la iglesia de San José de Puerto de Mazarrón. Una agradable noche acompañó a los penitentes durante el recorrido que los llevó a desfilar por las calles más céntricas de la localidad costera. Entre ellos se contaban un gran número de “manolas” que este año han acompañado a varios de los pasos.

Abría el cortejo la Banda de Cornetas y Tambores de Puerto de Mazarrón, seguida de la cofradía de San Pedro cuyos componentes desfilaban con capuz, capa y fajín rojo y túnica blanca. El trono con la imagen de San Pedro y el gallo, que según cuentan las escrituras cantó después de que el santo negara tres veces a Jesús, iba este año adornado con redes de pescador, ya que el dinero que iba ir destinado a las flores con las que se embellece el trono fue donado por la cofradía a causas benéficas.

Totalmente de blanco pero con fajín dorado desfilaban los componentes de la cofradía de San Juan que este año ha estrenado un bello estandarte blanco bordado en oro. A ésta le seguía la cofradía de la Virgen de Las Penas, cuya titular es la única virgen de la Semana Santa del municipio que desfila bajo palio. Los cofrades lucían también de blanco pero, en esta ocasión, con túnica azul. Los portapasos arrancaban los aplausos de los presentes al levantar sobre sus brazos el trono de esta Virgen. Especialmente emotivo fue este momento en la calle Mayor, que se encontraba abarrotada de público.

La cofradía del Cristo del Perdón y la Virgen de los Dolores cerraba la procesión con dos pasos. En primer lugar desfilaba la imagen que da nombre a la procesión. Vestidos totalmente de morado iban los penitentes que acompañaban a Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno. Tras él desfilaba la Virgen de Los Dolores, una bellísima talla del imaginero José Sánchez Lozano, cuyos cofrades desfilaban con capuz, capa y fajín azul, mientras que la túnica era encarnada, al igual que la vestimenta que luce la citada imagen en esta procesión.

En la presidencia desfilaban el sacerdote de la parroquia de San José, Justo José Sánchez, los representantes de las cuatro cofradías de la Semana Santa de Puerto de Mazarrón, el Alcalde de Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, el Teniente alcalde de Urbanismo, Francisco García, los concejales María Celeste Soria, Magdalena Méndez, Andrés Valera, Isidro Coy y Juan Miguel Muñoz del equipo de gobierno; y Alicia Jiménez, María Ángeles Román, Yolanda Vivancos y José Antonio Román de la oposición.

Esta noche tendrá lugar en Puerto de Mazarrón la procesión del Santo Entierro con salida a las 9 y media de la noche desde la parroquia de San José. Cinco pasos componen este desfile. Éstos son San Pedro, San Juan, el Cristo del Perdón con la Virgen de la Soledad, el Santo Sepulcro y la Virgen de Las Penas. La procesión recorrerá la calle Cartagena, calle Trafalgar, calle Progreso, calle Mayor, calle Juan Sebastián Elcano, avenida Tierno Galván, calle González Ballesta, calle Mayor y plaza de la Iglesia de San José.

Completely white but with a golden sash paraded members of the confraternity of San Juan, which this year has released a beautiful white banner embroidered with gold. This it followed him to the brotherhood of the Virgin of Sorrows, whose owner is the only Virgin of the Holy week of the municipality which will be displayed under a canopy. The brethren also looked white but, on this occasion, with blue tunic. The portapasos played the applause of those present to lift this Virgin’s throne on his arms. Especially emotional was the moment on the main street, which was crowded public.

 

The brotherhood of the forgiveness of Christ and the Virgin de los Dolores closed the procession with two steps. First marched the image that gives its name to the procession. Completely purple dresses were the penitents that accompanied our father Jesus Nazarene. Behind him marched the Virgen de Los Dolores, a beautiful carving of the Carver José Sánchez Lozano, whose members paraded with hood, coat and blue sash, while the tunic was embodied, as well as clothing that looks the quoted image in this procession.

Tonight the procession of the Holy burial takes place in Puerto de Mazarrón with departure at 9 and a half in the evening from the parish of San Jose. Five steps comprise this parade.
